¿Hay un driver de impresora Brother para macOS 27 y Apple Silicon?
Brother nunca lanzó versiones para Apple Silicon de los drivers de Mac de muchas de sus impresoras antiguas. Necesitan Rosetta, y macOS 27 marca como incompatibles los drivers de impresora solo para Intel. Apple elimina Rosetta para apps en macOS 28. Este paquete gratis añade drivers nativos arm64 para 147 modelos Brother, así que imprimen en cualquier Mac con Apple Silicon sin Rosetta.
¿Por qué mi impresora Brother dice “El software de la impresora no es compatible con este dispositivo”?
El driver de Brother instalado en el Mac es solo para Intel. Instala este paquete, reinicia el Mac una vez y luego desconecta y vuelve a conectar la impresora.
¿Se arregla reinstalando Rosetta?
A veces, y solo por ahora. Al reinstalar Rosetta, algunos drivers antiguos vuelven a funcionar tras borrar y volver a añadir la impresora. Otros siguen marcados como “Software incompatible”. Apple elimina Rosetta para apps en macOS 28, así que el driver antiguo del fabricante dejará de funcionar de nuevo. Este driver no necesita Rosetta.
¿Funciona en macOS 26 Tahoe y macOS 15 Sequoia?
Sí. Funciona en macOS 12 y posteriores en Mac con Apple Silicon, y sigue funcionando cuando actualizas a macOS 27.
